The Effect:
The magician uses a borrowed dollar bill to show some of the security features used by the US treasury to protect us from counterfeiters. Inside the bill is a special watermark that can be seen if it is held up to the light. Suddenly, without the performer going anywhere near it, the watermark begins to move down the dollar bill. The bill is handed back to the spectator who can clearly see that the watermark has traveled all the way across the bill to the other side.
