A classic effect that has been given a new spin over the years.

The Effect:
A quarter is borrowed and shown to not fit through the top of an examinable glass bottle. The magician instead pushes the coin through the side of the bottle, leaving the glass and coin intact. The coin is shown, rattling inside the bottle, still unable to fit through the top. The magician is able to somehow remove the coin from the bottle and everything can be examined.

Recommended For:
This takes some sleight of hand but is a very strong routine. Many other effects are possible with this special gimmick including a street magic effect performed by David Blaine.

Trick Specifications:
Gimmick and instructions. Available in Amrica quarter and Half Dollar; Canadian quarter, dollar, and two dollar; 2 Euro; and 50 cent Euro.

Skill Level: Intermediate.
Category: Coin and Money, Street Magic.

I have several Roy Kuepers coins and gimmicks and they are all high quality precision made. I've owned both the bite out quarter and the folding quarter. (I said I would never loose them but I did lol) Both work fine for the quarter bite and I've never had a problem with anyone spotting the gimmick on either coin. However, it just makes more sense to me to buy this coin as oppose to the bite out quarter, because of the added effect of "coin through bottle." If you just use the quarter for the "bite out effect" the gimmick should last you a long time. Practicing the 'quarter through bottle trick' alot will result in a broken elastic. They give you a few replacement bands which is nice, but you should also consider buying replacement bands. This way here you can practice without worry, and when your ready to perform you can put in a fresh rubber band so it won't break in front of the spectator. Learn a decent coin switch and your hard pressed to find a more visual practical street magic trick for the price. I've performed it in bars, the street, parties, and for friends. Great opener!

This is awesome, long story, but I got this from Knot's Scary farm on my birthday, and after I left, it took me ten minutes to get the slight of hand down, and get a big wow out of my mom and dad (actually, it was bite out quarter, but same gimmick.

i got this in the street magicians set, and this trick is my favorite. It took me a little practice but now i amaze people with it. i was at a party and borrowed a bottle and a quarter and asked my spectator to try and put the quarter in the bottle, he couldn't do it, so i said "your doing it wrong" and i took the coin and slammed it right through a glass beer bottle the result- ieveryone at the party rampaged me saying "do it again do it again" the only downside is that the gimmick can break easily but if you learn to be gentle with it the trick is amazing.
