| Cirque d'Ete was composed for the Minnesota Fringe Festival in August of 2002. The orignial concept called for musicians and jugglers to work together, with a mixing of those disciplines in the skills of the performers.
One pure juggler (Jay Gilligan), one pure musician (Ansley hendrickson), one juggler who did a little omusic (Ochen Kaylan), and one musician who did a little juggling (Tierney McDougal). The show was made on 4 platforms which the performers never got off of. This was in an effort to make a self-contained show since fringe festivals assign random evenues which are never known during creation.
The Fighting Machines of North Hollywood is based on the same concept as Jay's solo piece, Nouveaux Nouveaux Remix, which was also premiered at the 531 festival in 2004. The idea was to never stop juggling, even when changing props. Therefore, TFMONH was composed in a loop and with each addition or subtraction of a new prop, there was a meeting point to create a piece of technique for 3 people. Runtime: 85 minutes (2-Discs). Format: DVD NTSC (Region Free).
