Capitulating Queens by James Swain and Gary Plants is a visually startling packet effect that is easy to cary and packs a big punch.
The Effect:
Four queens are shown and one is selected. The selected queen's back changes color and design and is shown to be different while the other three remain identical.A second queen is chosen and changed with the same outcome. It is the only card with a different design. This is then repeated a third time.
The fourth queen does not change color, instead all the cards that were blue to start with change red!
For the grand finale, the backs of all the cards change into contrasting colors and designs and can be examined.

Took a few hours to understand how the effect worked and really get it looking good. I gave the 'ease of use' four stars because the explanation of the 'sleight' that makes it possible is poorly explained unless you already know the technique. (I didnt, but most experienced card handlers will) Luckily I also ordered 'Duplicity' which had a brilliant explanation of the same technique. After a little practice this effect amazes! I pull the four queens out of a new deck to add to the 'nothing prepared' aspect of it.Definitely going to be a favorite of mine.Performance Ease Of Use Price

Picked this up at MagiFest. What a GREAT little trick to "randomly" pull out and do pretty quickly when you are playing a game of cards with friends.Performance Ease Of Use Price
That's the type of magic I like and perform. "While we are waiting for John to get back from the bathroom, let me tell you a quick story if the 4 ladies if the deck" and do the trick. (Posted on 4/2/13) - Review by Trenton

Its really a great trick. A little harder than it looks however. You have to be really smooth and careful with you Elmsly count. (Posted on 3/3/13)Performance Ease Of Use Price - Review by ggg
