Mentioned in this vlog is the 30 Trick and Tips with Sponge Balls Set. This set includes four sponge balls.

In case you're wondering, am using the 2.5" Sponge Balls in this video.

And don't forget to check out our text Sponge Ball Blog which includes tips on caring for and creating routines for your sponge balls.

    Kirk says:

I think it's just the camera angle... Look at the picture above this entry at the magic shop. Not puffy at all. But look at the David Blaine video (one of the most recent entries) if you want to see total weirdness. That one's funny too, bc he goes from upside-down to right-side up in the funny clips and his face looks totally different, but same shirt.

Hello geek guys or as your real name MAGIC GEEK. I have a question for Chris. What is your most favorite magic combo?close up,street magic,or stage magic combo?

Posted on December 10, 2008 at 6:05 am

  • Chris Ballinger

Hello Landon Sabo, I helped design all three sets so they all have elements of my show and style in them. We really worked hard to evenly spread out the goodness between the three sets. If I was forced to choose one I would have to go with the Close-Up Combo. I'm a sucker for the classics and I think that every magician needs a good set of cups and balls and should know a few stripper deck and sponge ball routines. That's not to say that the other two are far off. Even while writing this, I keep changing my mind between the three. It really depends on what kind of magic YOU like to perform.

well I love street magic. I am such a big fan of David Blaine. But to tell you the truth I have some items from the street combo, and I rather not have two of the same items.

Dear the owner of magic geek,

Hi my name is Marge. And I'm a big fan of magic geek because it is cheap, fast, and better than #@@!*^%>^*+.com and #>$!=> magic. The problem with them is that #@@!*^%>^*+ is good quaility but they are TOO expencive and it takes a while to ship to you. Also #>$!=> magic is a little bit cheaper than #@@!*^%>^*+ but for the regular shipping it takes 10-11 days for shipping. But magic geek has faster shipping, and cheaper things, and the best part about this is they have better magic items and stuff that I'v never seen before. This is why I like magic geek better is because it is good magic, fast shipping, and cheaper items.

    your fan,
    Marge Tam

This vid is very helpful, I just orderd the 1.5 sponge balls. I also have a question for Chris, we all know the names of the two sponge balls (Bob and Joe), what are the names of the other two?

Posted on April 15, 2009 at 3:39 am

  • Chris Ballinger

I don't usually let the audience see four balls at any given time. I call the third ball "Joe-Bob" out of a lack of creativity.

Posted on April 16, 2009 at 8:02 am

  • Chris Wolfe

I would call the other two sponges Ernie and symore.

most recent order: looks like it got caught in the conveyor belt at fedex, ...everything else shipped by UPS other times came in perfectly, but this order with the sponge balls shredded and the silks shredded, and the little plastic thing for the silk production demolished.... have never had a package so destroyed... cannot use anything within, threw them away!!!!! please do not use fedex ever again!!!!!!NEVER EVER had any problem with Fedex until this time...!!!!!!!

Hey chris this is related to #10, not the video. How many rings in the stage magic set, the pics show three but the normal set has 10? Your a great magician, your right you don't need to hide the first ball, never knew that before

Posted on October 3, 2010 at 7:36 am

  • Chris Ballinger

Hi Ian, There are three rings in the Stage Magic Combo. The DVD covers a great routine that uses only three rings.

Hi James, I think I started really actively juggling about 11 years ago. It really helped to work in a store that sold juggling supplies where I was encouraged to learn everything I could about all the inventory we sold.

What keeps sponge balls, etc. soft and most useable?
Have used FEBREEZE in the past, but it tends to smell after being kept in plastic bags, pill bottles, etc.
